When Uber receives an alert that a driver may have been charged with a criminal offense, we will review the report to determine whether the driver’s account should remain active using the same safety standards applied at initial onboarding and annual re-runs. All active and/or pending charges will be considered in evaluating a driver’s continued adherence to Uber’s safety standards.
If you lost access to the Uber app because of a new record notification and you were not recently arrested or charged with a criminal offense, follow the instructions outlined in the email you received from our third party background check provider, Checkr.
If you were charged, but those charges have since been dismissed, let us know below. Be sure to include any court documentation that shows that these charges have been cleared.
