Getting to Know the 1099-NEC Form
- The 1099-NEC form summarizes your earnings from promotions, referrals, and other miscellaneous income.
- You’ll get this form if you’re in a state that requires it and have earned $600 or more in these types of earnings.
- Starting in 2021, the 1099-NEC replaced the 1099-MISC for reporting specific tax information.
- From 2022, most people won’t get a 1099-MISC. Only those who qualify and earned $600 or more will receive a 1099-NEC.
- You can access past 1099-MISC forms and new tax documents by January 31, 2024, at drivers.uber.com.
