We’ll be printing a QR code near the top of the Uber Eats Orders receipt, and prompting our Delivery People to scan the QR Code at pickup to ensure they have the correct order before starting their delivery leg. Delivery People sometimes grab (or are handed) the wrong bag at pickup, resulting in customers receiving the wrong order. We’re asking our Delivery People to scan QR codes on receipts to ensure they have the correct order to help reduce instances of this issue happening.
What if my store’s printer isn’t working one day or the QR code doesn’t print properly?
Delivery people will have a way to bypass the QR code scan step and instead manually verify that the order is correct (by checking order ID and/or First Name + Last Initial)
What happens if the QR Code tells the delivery partner they have the wrong order?
In this case we prompt the Delivery people to work with your store staff to find the correct order and have them scan it to verify.
