Assigning Roles to Individual Users

Updating a Role

  1. Sign in to business.uber.com.
  2. Go to the People tab.
  3. Search for the employee.
  4. Select Edit role.
  5. Choose the new role from the dropdown.
  6. Select Save.

Adding roles

  1. Sign in to business.uber.com.
  2. Go to the People tab.
  3. Select Add people
  4. Enter employee details
  5. Select which role(s) to assign to employee, some roles may require additional input
  6. Select Next > Add person

Bulk adding employees

  1. Sign in to business.uber.com.
  2. Go to the People tab.
  3. Select Add people > Bulk add.
  4. Upload a .csv or .xls file.
  5. Review the number of entries found. Any entries needing review will be flagged.
  6. Select Next
  7. Update or remove incomplete entries as needed.
  8. Select Add people after all information is validated.

The employee’s permissions update automatically based on their new role.

Removing a role

  1. Sign in to business.uber.com.
  2. Go to the People tab.
  3. Search for the employee.
  4. Select Edit role.
  5. Deselect the role or select No role.
  6. Select Save.

Removing a Role in bulk

  1. Sign in to business.uber.com.
  2. Go to the People tab.
  3. Find the desired employees and select the checkbox.
  4. Select the three dots on the bottom.
  5. Select Remove roles.
  6. Choose the desired role(s) to remove.
  7. Select Remove roles.

After removing a role, the user returns to the Employee role with basic access.

Note: If selected users aren’t in a group, the Remove from groups option will be disabled. The same applies for Remove roles and Remove from programs if employees don’t have those roles or programs assigned.
