Setting up Multi-factor authentication (MFA) using Passkeys

Passkeys offer a modern, secure alternative to traditional passwords. They use your device’s built-in security features, such as fingerprint, face recognition, or device PIN.

Benefits of passkeys

  • Easier access to your account without the need to remember or enter a password
  • Enhanced security because passkeys are protected by the authentication methods on your device, such as fingerprint, face recognition, device PIN, or physical keys
  • Streamlined login with the ability to sync passkeys across devices logged in to the same password manager
  • Increased protection against phishing scams and unauthorized access caused by password theft

Setting up a passkey

To create a passkey:

  1. Sign in at accounts.uber.com
  2. Navigate to the Security tab on the right
  3. Select Passkeys under Logging in to Uber
