Reserve FAQ

What is Uber Reserve?

Uber Reserve lets you request rides in advance. As a driver, you can see Reserve trip requests up to a week ahead. You’ll know the pickup and dropoff spots, as well as the fare, before you accept.

Accepting Uber Reserve trips

  • Eligible drivers can find Reserve trips in the Driver app by tapping Menu and then Opportunities Center.
  • Some Reserve trips will appear on the home screen when the pickup time is close to the current time.

Rider cancellations

  • You receive a fee if a rider cancels within an hour of pickup and you’re online heading to the location.
  • For Uber Black and similar high-end options, you get the full fare (service fee not included) if a cancellation happens within an hour of pickup.
  • For Uber X, Uber XL, Uber Comfort, and other economy products you’ll get a standard cancellation fee (service fee not included) for last-minute cancellations.
  • No fee if you’re estimated to be more than 20 minutes late and the trip goes to another driver.

When to go online

  • Premium options (Uber Black, etc.): Be online 45 minutes before pickup or the ride might be reassigned.

Accepting other trips

You can still get on-demand requests before your Uber Reserve trip. The app tries to match you with trips leading towards your scheduled pickup.
