Audio Recording

Starting November 19, 2024, the Uber app will have “Audio Recording” to improve driver and Rider safety.

Consent for use

When drivers log in to the Uber app for the first time, they will be asked to agree to use the voice recording feature. If they do not agree, they will not be able to use the Uber app. Riders are also required to agree to use the voice recording function when they first use the app to dispatch a car.

How to use

Please refer to the following for operating instructions. Tap the safety tool displayed in the lower left corner of the app. Select “Record Voice” from the safety tool and turn on the audio recording function.

*If you forget to stop the recording, it will automatically end 20 seconds after the passenger’s ride ends.
