How to set spending limits for family members

Uber Family account organizers can set spending limits for their teens and other family members in-app. Follow these steps to set monthly spending limits in your Uber or Uber Eats app:

1. Go to Account > Family and teens > Family profile
2. Select a member
3. In the Spending Limits section, tap on Edit to see the options for rides or Uber Eats orders
4. To set a monthly limit, tap on Limited
5. Enter the monthly spending limit then click Save

You can update the spending limit at any time, or you can opt the family member into Unlimited spending or No spending allowed on Uber, Uber Eats, or both. Any spending limit that is set will be reset at the beginning of every calendar month.

After you’ve added a spending limit, you’ll see “Spending limit set” beneath the family member’s name in the family profile. Keep in mind that limits for rides and orders must be set separately, and each family member’s spending limit must be updated individually. Only family profile organizers can change the spending limit.
