Our merchant partners also have the option to use their own delivery staff.

What are your responsibilities if you fulfill orders with your delivery staff?

Our merchant partners:

• Exercise sole control over their delivery staff and must comply with all applicable laws (including, but not limited to, tax and employment laws).
• Are responsible for maintaining adequate insurance requirements and properly vetting their delivery staff using commercially reasonable procedures in their market including, where available, background checks or other screening methods.
• Shall not contact any customers or use any customer information or personal data collected in the course of providing the delivery services for any reason other than for the purposes of fulfilling an individual order (this also applies to delivery staff).

Merchant partners will provide evidence of such precautions upon request by Uber.
