What is Costco?

Costco is an international chain of hypermarkets with a Price Club format. It’s now available on the Uber Eats app in the “Shop and Deliver” mode.

What are the requirements to receive Costco orders?

To be eligible to receive Costco orders, you must meet the following requirements:

  • You must have received an invitation and completed the registration process for “Shop and Deliver” orders.
  • You need to have an active Plus Card.
  • You must have been invited to complete Costco orders when you receive the invitation.
  • You must register your thermal bag in this Form. If you don’t have a thermal bag, you can buy one at any Merchant.

Once you complete this process, you’ll begin receiving Costco orders within 3 business days. The number of orders you receive will depend on availability and your location.

When completing Costco orders, you are required to bring an insulated bag. This ensures that products arrive in optimal condition and that the Merchant’s quality standards are met.

Do I need a membership to complete Costco orders?

To complete Costco orders, you no longer need a personal Costco membership; if you’ve one, you should no longer use it.

When you receive Costco orders, you must go to the Merchant and show the app with the active order, indicating to Costco staff that you are a Delivery Partner who places orders on the Uber app.

After completing your shopping list and proceeding to checkout, the app will provide you with a barcode with a unique membership number for that order, which you must share with the cashier, allowing you to complete the payment in-merchant.

Remember that when completing Costco orders, you must bring an insulated bag. This ensures that the products arrive in optimal conditions and lets us comply with the Merchant’s quality standards.

Can I still use my membership to complete Uber orders at Costco?

It’s important that you only use the membership code provided by Uber in the app during the Costco checkout process.

Using any membership code or card other than the one we show you in the app could result in your account being deactivated.

Be sure to follow the instructions in the app to ensure a smooth and successful checkout.

How should I complete Costco orders through Uber?

The process for completing Costco orders is similar to other “Shop and Deliver” orders.

  1. When you receive orders from Costco, it will show as “Shop and Deliver” in the app.
  2. After accepting the order, head to the Merchant. Upon arrival, show the active order in the app and inform the Costco staff that you’re a Delivery Partner who places orders on the Uber app, so you don’t need a personal membership.
  3. Then you can slide the button “START SHOPPING” to view the Customer’s shopping list, with the requested items and their details to begin the purchase.
  4. If an item isn’t available, the app will guide you step-by-step through handling the situation according to the customer’s preferences. Additionally, you can contact the Customer via phone call or chat (using the corresponding buttons in the upper right corner of the screen ”Shopping list”).
  5. After completing your shopping list and proceeding to checkout, you should see a barcode that reads: “Ask the cashier to scan this barcode.”, which contains a valid membership number. Allow the cashier to scan the code, and once done, you can continue with the payment process using your Plus Card.
  6. Remember to attach a photo of your order receipt to the app.
  7. After making the payment, you must deliver the order to the Customer, following the app’s recommendations, just as you’d do regularly.

How can I get help with a Costco order?
