Please note that Uber will report any potential criminal offenses involving minors to law enforcement or local authorities. The "Emergency Call Button" is a feature that allows you to be quickly connected to emergency services.
So, during a ride, you can:
1. Tap the shield icon on your ride screen to access the safety kit features.
2. Slide the emergency call button to be connected to 112.
Since you will be connected directly to emergency and rescue services, we encourage you to use this feature only in emergency situations.
This call will be placed on your mobile phone via your mobile phone provider's network (and not via Uber).
We also want to point out that when you use the emergency call button, your exact location and vehicle identification information will be displayed on your screen so that you can communicate them to emergency services. In addition, Uber will share your location information with the authorities.
If you use this feature, please be aware that Uber will send you an automated message through the app so that you can provide us with additional information about this situation, if necessary.
