How do I sign up to other products?

Uber offers different trip options so riders can choose the experience that best suits their needs. If you currently receive UberX trip requests and would like to access other products, your eligibility will depend on your vehicle and the requirements in your city.

If you meet the criteria for a product, eligibility is usually applied automatically to your account. Please allow up to 72 hours for changes to appear in your Uber app.

Vehicle requirements and accepted models can vary by city and product, and may change over time. Before buying, leasing, or renting a vehicle, please check the latest eligible vehicle list for your city.

Uber Comfort

Uber Comfort is designed to give riders a more comfortable experience and may be available in selected cities.

Eligibility can depend on factors such as:

Vehicle age
Vehicle type
Eligible make and model
Local product requirements
Driver rating or other account criteria, where applicable

Vehicles eligible for higher Premium products may also be eligible for Comfort, depending on local requirements.

Maintaining the required driver rating

UberXL

UberXL is for larger vehicles that can carry more riders. Eligibility may include:

A vehicle with at least 6 passenger seats in addition to the driver seat
A private hire vehicle licence that covers the required passenger capacity
Local vehicle and licensing requirements

An UberX fare can’t be changed to an UberXL fare simply because there are more than 4 riders. If eligible, UberXL can be managed through Driving Preferences in the Driver app.
