Driver-partners on the Uber platform must pass a screening process that may include a background check. Screening is performed by Checkr. Your consent is required before we initiate a background check. You'll need to provide your: - social security number - driver's license Screening is free of charge and there is no credit check involved.

After receiving notification that your background check has started, please allow up to 7 business days for completion. Please note that while you may have received a copy of your completed report from Checkr, Uber may require additional time to review your results.
