Reservations allows riders to reserve a trip through the Uber app up to 30 days in advance and at least 2 hours in advance.
ACCEPTING A RESERVATION
- Driver-partners can be offered Reservation trip requests up to 7 days in advance
- Because a Reservation offer can be sent to multiple driver-partners at the same time, an offer may expire if it has already been accepted by another driver-partner
- If the rider has marked you as a Favourite Driver, you will receive their reservation requests before other driver-partners
All Reservation offers can be declined by driver-partners without any impact to their Trip Acceptance Rate.
CANCELLED RESERVATIONS
- If a Reservation was removed from your app, it could be because the Rider cancelled their request or you were not online within the required number of minutes before the scheduled pickup time.
- Reservations may also be cancelled if you are online but not making progress towards the rider and are estimated to arrive late. In these cases, you will be notified before the trip is removed from your schedule.
- If the rider cancels the Reservation less than 1 hour before the scheduled pickup time, you will receive the lower of the rider’s upfront fare or a standard cancellation fee, minus the service fee.
ON THE DAY OF RESERVATION
- You are required to be online 40 minutes before the scheduled pickup time (60 minutes for Uber Black Reserve trips) in order to remain as the matched driver-partner for the rider’s Reservation
- The Uber Driver app will navigate you to arrive 5 minutes before the Rider’s scheduled pickup time (15 minutes for Uber Black Reserve trips)
- You will be required to wait until at least 5 minutes after the scheduled pickup time (10 minutes for Comfort, 15 minutes for Uber Black Reserve, and 60 minutes for Uber Black Reserve Airport trips). This wait time is factored into the upfront fare of the Reservation.
