What you’ll need
Before you bring smiles and satisfaction to customers, make sure you have:
- Your full name
- Social Security number
- Driver’s license information
- Birth date
- Vehicle details
Vehicle requirements:
- You must be at least 19 years old.
- You can drive either a 2-door or 4-door car.
- Your car must be covered by valid vehicle insurance.
Photo requirements
- A clear, current driver’s license or photo ID.
- A profile photo that looks like you.
- Proof of vehicle insurance.
If these documents aren’t added by the deadline, you won’t be able to go online.
Taking and adding a photo
When you’re ready to add your documents, ensure:
- The image is clear with all text readable.
- All four corners of the photo are visible in the image.
- Documents are current and won’t expire soon.
- Your name matches the name on your Driver profile.
- The driver’s license photo is required.
- Scanned images aren’t accepted.
Background check
Uber is committed to safety. That’s why every new delivery person must complete a background check. Here’s what you should know:
- The check is done by one or more of our third-party providers, Checkr, Samba Safety, and HireRight
- It typically takes between 3-5 business days
- Your results will be reviewed to determine your eligibility
