What is it?
We have launched ‘UberX Priority’ - a new option for riders that provides them priority pick up. You can now earn more on trips using ‘UberX Priority’ if nearby riders request this ride option.
How does it work?
UberX Priority uses the same pricing as UberX, but on top of the usual fare, you will receive a surcharge. The UberX Priority surcharge amount is included in the upfront estimate on the offer card, but you can also see the amount in smaller text below the offer card price. Eligible trip requests will show up as ‘UberX Priority’ on the offer card on the Driver app.
What are the benefits of confirming UberX Priority trips?
UberX Priority can help to maximise your earnings with the addition of the surcharge. It can help to make shorter trips more attractive as the surcharge is a fixed amount that does not scale in relation to trip distance.
How do I opt-in?
You are automatically opted-in to confirm these trips if you choose. However, please note that UberX Priority is not currently available at any UK airports.
