What is Uber Pet?

Uber Pet is a transportation alternative we offer to Users who want to travel with their pet. Uber Pet leases generate higher earnings compared to UberX leases. This means that completing Uber Pet leases can increase your earnings.

Users can request this service directly from their app whenever they need it, or they can pre-book it through the Reserve option.

To be eligible for this type of leases, you must activate the Uber Pet option from your app. Just follow these steps: 1. Click on the top menu of your app. 2. Select “Account”. 3. Go to “Opportunities menu”. 4. Under Uber Pet, click “Add”. 5. Read the information about Uber Pet and click “Continue”. And that’s it!

How many pets can I transport?

Usually, Users request the service to travel with a single pet, but if you can transport more than one pet at a time.

What types of pets can travel with Uber Pet?

The Uber Pet product is primarily designed for traveling with domestic pets such as dogs or cats, but remember that before accepting the lease, you can see the product type in the app. This will allow you to communicate with the User and coordinate the pick-up and drop-off point, or, in this case, whether you can transport a pet other than a dog or cat.

It’s important to note that if the pet is a companion (service pet), the User does not need to request the Uber Pet service; they can request a regular service, such as UberX.

How should I prepare for an Uber Pet leases?

For these leases, we suggest Users travel with pets on a leash, harness, or in a carrier to comply with local regulations.

We recommend having a mat or blanket ready in the trunk of your car for Uber Pet leases; you can place it over the seat and footwells in the back of your car. Don’t forget to pick them up at the end of your lease so you can prepare before heading to the next departure point.

Can a pet be transported without a User?

No, when requesting a pet transfer, it must be accompanied by a User, who is responsible for the transfer.

How many people can ride in an Uber Pet?

To ensure everyone’s safety when requesting an Uber Pet lease, we recommend a maximum of 3 Users and 1 pet. Uber is not responsible for the pet.

What happens if the animal makes my car dirty?

If your report is related to pet hair, odor, or normal wear and tear, a cleaning fee will not be incurred.

However, if during the lease the pet messes up the vehicle with vomit, urine, or feces, has an incident, or causes damage, the User may be subject to paying a Cleaning Price. The situation will be assessed and charged according to the extent of the damage and as provided in the T& of Use of the app.

How do I stop receiving Uber Pet requests?

To stop receiving Uber Pet requests, follow these steps: 1. Log in to the Uber Driver app. 2. Tap the Menu (the two horizontal lines). 3. Select “Driving Preferences”. 4. Uncheck the “Uber Pet” option. 5. Done, you will now stop receiving Uber Pet leases.
