You can pause orders from your Uber Eats Orders or Uber Eats Manager.

To pause orders in Uber Eats Orders:

  1. In the Orders tab, click ‘Open’ in the upper right corner
  2. Select ‘Pause’ in the pop up that will appear
  3. Select the amount of time you would like to pause
  4. Then click Pause order to apply the selected time
  5. If you are ready to accept orders again, follow the same steps and press ‘Resume orders’

To pause orders in Uber Eats Manager:

  1. Go to merchants.ubereats.com/manager and log in.
  2. Click on the “Stores” tab.
  3. On the right side click “Pause orders”.
  4. Select the store in which you want to pause orders and click “Next”.
  5. Choose:
  • How long will you be unavailable?
  • Reason for pausing, or add your own.
  1. Click on “Pause orders”.
  2. If you are ready to accept orders again, click on “Resume orders”, then select the store and click “Resume orders”.

NOTE: Pausing only lasts until the end of the day.

If you want to pause orders for longer than that, update your operating hours.

Closed for the day

If you cancel an order and select “kitchen closed” as the reason, you’ll see a prompt to pause new orders for the day. If you tap “Pause new orders”, you won’t receive new orders while your kitchen is closed.

Closed for an extended period (less than one month)

If you want to close the restaurant for a longer period (less than a month), please note that you can adjust the Holiday Hours in Uber Eats Manager or Uber Eats Orders.

Closed for an extended period (more than one month)

If you want to close the restaurant for more than one month, you can follow the steps below:

  1. Access Uber Eats Orders
  2. Click the Help icon on the main menu on the left
  3. Go to the Help Center > Technical Support
  4. Select ‘I want to go back online or go offline’
  5. Submit the request
  6. Once you submit the request, the restaurant will be put offline in a few minutes.

To go back online again, you can follow the same steps.
