If you’re experiencing issues with payment methods, follow these steps to rule out any app-related problems.
- Delete and reinstall the app from the Play Store/App Store to ensure you have the latest version.
- If the issue persists, try logging in from a different device to determine if the issue is device-related.
- Delete and re-add payment methods to clear any charges.
- Note that if only one non-cash payment method is available, you’ll need to add an alternate payment method before deleting and re-adding the existing one.
Addtionally,
- If you’re adding an Indian-issued card outside of India, update the country field to reflect the country you are currently located.
- If you have already added a card and can’t use it outside of India, we suggest deleting the card from the Uber app, re-adding it, and updating the country field to match the country you are currently present in.
- Please note that Uber does not currently accept prepaid cards. If you attempt to add a prepaid card, you may receive an error message.
