HOW CAN I VERIFY IF I WAS CHARGED FOR A CANCELLATION FEE?
1. Tap the menu icon, then tap YOUR TRIPS
2. Under "Past" trips, tap the canceled trip
3. Tap RECEIPT
-If you were charged a cancellation fee, it will show on your receipt.
-If you were not charged a cancellation fee, the trip fare will show as 0.
WHY WAS I CHARGED BEFORE TAKING A TRIP?
When you request a trip through the Uber app, a temporary charge may be charged on the payment method you choose.
This charge is called an authorization and serves to confirm that your payment method is active and valid. The authorization is automatically canceled a few minutes after being charged.
