The renter’s name is essential for processing a reservation; without it, the reservation cannot be completed. The renter’s name should only include Latin characters, hyphens, apostrophes, and spaces. First and last names must be 2-15 characters long. The renter must be present at the rental counter with their driver’s license physical with at least one year of validity, and with your credit card with sufficient funds for the payment of the deposit to pick up the car. If multiple people are renting the vehicle then all must be present with their respective licenses and credit cards. A renter cannot rent multiple vehicles during the same time period. If renting in a country different from the one that issued their driver’s license, or if the renter’s name as shown on their driver’s license contains non-Latin characters, they must present and carry an international driving permit (IDP). A valid driver’s license physical with a minimum of one year of validity. A credit card in your name for payment and a security deposit. A nationally official ID of the driver, and/or passport if the driver is a foreigner. Any additional identification or documentation specified by the rental company.
How do I pay for a rental booking I’ve made with Uber Rent?
When booking a rental car through Uber, we currently only accept Pay-At-Counter policy.
Please note, when picking up the rental car, the main driver needs to bring a credit card in their own name with enough funds to cover the deposit amount. If the main driver cannot present this at the rental desk, the car might not be released.
If you plan on paying with a debit card, you’ll want to confirm it’s an accepted payment method with the rental location.
