What is Uber Taxi Reserve?

Uber Taxi Reserve allows you to reserve a taxi in advance within designated service areas.

Notes on Pick-up and Drop-off Locations

• It is possible to set certain airports as your pick-up/ drop-off location.
• Supported Airports: Narita International Airport , Haneda Airport , Osaka International Airport(Itami Airport) , Fukuoka Airport , Kansai International Airport, Naha Airport , Kobe Airport .

How are fares calculated for Uber Taxi Reserve?

According to the Uber Taxi / Uber Premium Reserve Terms and Conditions, fares for Uber Taxi Reserve are as follows:

Fare: * Metered fare (Including Airport reservation)

Reservation fee: * ¥700

Other additional fees:

• Highway tolls (if used)
• Surcharge
• Booking fee

※ If departing from Tokyo’s 23 wards, an additional Surcharge (Travel Agency Handling Fee) will be added. For more information, please refer to the relevant help page.

When can I reserve with Uber Taxi Reserve?

• You can book a ride from 90 days in advance up to 15 minutes before your desired pickup time.

Payment methods

• Only in-app payment methods are accepted. ※ Apple Pay is not supported.

How do I reserve an Uber Taxi?

Here’s how to reserve an Uber Taxi:

1. Tap the “Reserve” button in the app

2. Tap the “Reserve a ride” button

3. Enter your “Pickup Location” and “Where to?”

4. Select your desired date and time for the reservation, then tap “Next”

5. Select a vehicle, then tap “Reserve Taxi”

After the reservation is complete, we will begin matching you with a driver starting 7 days before your scheduled departure time.

Are there toll charges?

Yes, you will be charged toll fees if toll roads are used, just like with regular Uber Taxi.

When can I cancel?

• You can cancel your reservation up to 1 hour before your scheduled pickup time.

Will I be charged a cancellation fee?

Yes. According to the Uber Taxi / Uber Premium Reserve Terms and Conditions:

If you cancel after receiving the driver’s details and within 60 minutes of the scheduled time, a cancellation fee of ¥1,200 will be charged to you.

I was charged a fee even though I haven’t taken a ride.

You may see a temporary charge (Authorization Hold*) for the ride fare and reservation fee if you selected a credit card or PayPay and were matched with a driver 24 hours before your scheduled departure. This temporary charge may be processed on your selected payment method at that time.

If you aren’t matched with a driver 24 hours before your scheduled departure, the temporary charge will be processed once a driver is found.
