You can receive up to $120 in Uber Cash annually by adding your U.S. Consumer American Express® Gold Card (“Amex Card”) as a payment method to your Uber account.
When your Amex Benefit isn’t enough to cover the cost of your ride or order, the Amex Card in your Uber wallet selected for the transaction will be charged the difference. If Uber is unable to use the Amex Card in your Uber wallet to complete the transaction, the Amex Benefit will not be applied and another available payment method in your Uber wallet will be charged for the transaction. The Amex Benefit will not automatically apply to rides or orders when using a business profile. To use the Amex Benefit, you must toggle Uber Cash on in your business profile, which may be restricted based on your employer organization’s settings for such profile.
You’ll receive the Amex Benefit each month as long as your Amex Card remains eligible and is a payment method on your Uber account. If your eligible Amex Card is added to multiple Uber accounts, the account to which you first added the Amex Card will receive the associated Amex Benefit.
Basic Card Members with the Amex Card are eligible. You’ll receive $10 in Uber Cash each month for each eligible Card on your Uber account.
If you do not see this Uber Cash in your Uber Cash balance within 48 hours from the time you enroll, call the number on the back of your Card for assistance.
The Amex Benefit will switch accounts and apply to that new account starting on the 1st day of the next month. You can always re-add your eligible Amex Card to other Uber accounts after completing these steps if you want the users to be able to pay for Uber rides and orders with the Card.
If you have specific questions about your American Express Card or other American Express benefits, please call the number on the back of your American Express Card.
