Uber for Business admins and coordinators can use Central or Uber Health to request WAV or Assist vehicle options for riders with disabilities and mobility challenges.

Assist is a vehicle option that offers riders door-to-door assistance. Assist drivers are trained by a third party to assist riders with disability and mobility challenges. Assist vehicles can accommodate folding wheelchairs, walkers, and collapsible scooters, but don’t have wheelchair-accessible ramps or lifts.
WAV (wheelchair accessible vehicle) is a vehicle option available to riders who use non-folding, motorized wheelchairs. WAV drivers are certified by a third party in wheelchair securement and assisting people with disabilities. Vehicles are equipped with ramps or lifts.
To request or schedule a WAV or Assist vehicle for a rider, arrange an Uber Health or Central ride and select WAV or Assist when choosing the vehicle type.
WAV and Assist aren’t available in all locations. In some US and Canada markets, we provide contact information for other WAV providers.
In select markets, WAV rides requested from business portals or enterprise APIs (such as Uber Health or Central) will include a WAV Program fee.
Please note:
