Time requirements for cancellation penalties

Penalty-free cancellations

  • Within 15 minutes of booking any load
  • 24 hours or more before the pickup time

Cancellations that incur penalties

  • Less than 24 hours before the pickup time

How canceling affects your score

Your carrier’s cancellation score is determined by the number of load cancellation penalties incurred over your last 20 bookings. Before confirming a cancellation, you’ll be able to review how it will impact your score.

Exceptions to cancellation penalties

Cancellation penalties will be waived whenever a cancellation is caused by an unexpected delay on a previous Uber Freight load.
