Pickup and drop-off work differently depending on the type of reservation you selected.
When it’s time to collect your rental, you’ll need to arrive at the pickup location shown in your reservation at the scheduled pickup time.
When you arrive, you’ll need to present:
A valid driver’s license that meets the rental supplier’s requirements.
A physical credit card in the main driver’s name (required by most suppliers for the security deposit, even if you’ve already paid for your rental in the Uber app).
Any additional documentation required by the rental supplier, as outlined in their Terms and Conditions.
To help avoid delays at pickup, make sure the name on your driver’s license matches the name on your payment card and reservation.
Please note that some suppliers may not accept certain payment methods for the security deposit, such as virtual cards, digital wallets, or specific credit card brands. We recommend reviewing the supplier’s Terms and Conditions before your rental to confirm which payment methods are accepted and ensure you have the required card at pickup.
At the end of your rental, return the vehicle to the drop-off location, date, and time selected in your reservation. Before returning the vehicle, be sure to follow the rental supplier’s fuel or charging policy. Additional charges may apply if the vehicle is returned late, to a different location, with less fuel or battery charge than required, or with any damage, subject to the supplier’s Terms and Conditions.
Car Delivery is available in select U.S. cities only.
If you choose Car Delivery, a driver will pick up the rental vehicle from the supplier and deliver it to the location you selected during booking.
Before your reservation is confirmed, you’ll need to complete identity verification in the Uber app, including uploading a copy of your driver’s license and taking a selfie. Both United States and Canadian driver’s licenses are accepted for Car Delivery reservations.
When your vehicle is delivered, you’ll take a quick selfie to verify your identity before the driver hands over the keys.
At the end of your rental, the driver will collect the vehicle from the location you selected during booking and return it to the rental supplier on your behalf.
Before the scheduled pickup, be sure to follow the rental supplier’s fuel or charging policy, remove all personal belongings, and return the keys and any equipment provided with the vehicle. Additional charges may apply if the vehicle is returned with damage, with less fuel or battery charge than required, or if any other charges apply under the supplier’s Terms and Conditions.
Please note that Car Delivery is only available in select U.S. cities. If you don’t see the Car Delivery option during booking, it isn’t currently available for your selected location.
