What are ‘User-Submitted Photos’?

Customers can now submit photos of their purchased items for review. Reviewed and accepted photos may be featured on the restaurant’s Uber Eats page, helping others discover great food while supporting local businesses.

Who can submit photos?

Anyone signed in to their Uber Eats account who has purchased an item from the restaurant can submit a photo of their dish.

How do I submit photos?

After completing your order, follow these steps to upload your photos:

  1. Navigate to the Rate your order screen and select Add Your Photos.
  2. Choose a photo or file from your device or Photo Library, then select Add Photos to upload it for the specific dish.
  3. Review your photos and select Submit.

By submitting photos, you agree to our Terms of Use and User Generated Content Terms.

What happens after I submit my photo?

Once you submit your photo, Uber Eats will review it for relevance, quality and adherence to our User Generated Content Terms.

If accepted, your photo may appear on the restaurant’s Uber Eats store page within 1-5 business days. Your photos may also be featured on the restaurant’s menu or for other promotional purposes.

Please note: Photos may be minorly edited to adjust lighting or correct blurriness.

Why isn’t my photo showing on the store page?

All user-submitted photos are subject to review and must follow our User-Generated Content Guidelines. Any image containing personal, sensitive, or objectionable content won’t be accepted.

Additionally, photos must be clear, well-lit, and visually appealing. Please see our guidelines for tips on capturing high-quality photos.

Can I edit photos I’ve submitted?

At this time photos can’t be edited after submission, however, you may submit content again for your next order with the restaurant.

User-submitted photos may not reflect the merchant’s official dish presentation, ingredients, or portion size. For any questions about the dish, including allergens or dietary concerns, please contact the restaurant directly, or report food safety concerns via a form on this page.

What is the User-Submitted Photo Uber Credits offer?

Select Uber Eats customers have an opportunity to earn Uber Credits by sharing menu-worthy photos of eligible items.

Why should I participate in User-Submitted Photos?

If chosen, photos may be featured on the restaurant’s Uber Eats page, helping others discover great food while supporting local businesses.

How can I earn Uber Credtis through User-Submitted Photos?

Select users can earn Uber Credits by sharing a menu-worthy photo of an eligible item. Follow the instructions below for a chance to earn Uber Credits:

  1. Locate an eligible store with the Uber Credits incentive banner at the top of the store page.
  2. Only items with the incentive banner will be eligible for Uber Credits. Look for items in a menu with a label below the price line that says “Uber Credits for photo”. Please note this excludes pre-packaged items, alcohol items, beverages, sides, condiments, cutlery, and build-your-own dishes.
  3. After ordering and receiving any of the eligible items, navigate to the Rate your order screen and select Add Your Photos.
  4. Choose a photo or file from your device or Photo Library, then select Add Photos to upload it for the specific dish.
  5. Review your photos and select Submit.

Is it possible to earn Uber Credits more than once for the same item using photos?

No, Uber Credits are only given once per unique menu item in each order. Taking and submitting multiple photos of the same item won’t result in additional incentives.

Why am I not seeing the photo upload banner in the store page?

The Uber Credits incentive banner only appears on select store pages with eligible items. You may need to swipe right to see this banner if there are multiple store banners live. If a store doesn’t have any incentivised items, the banner will not appear and the offer will not apply.

When will I receive my Uber Credits?

Once you submit your photo, Uber Eats will review it for relevance, quality, and adherence to our User Generated Content Terms.

If your photo is accepted, you’ll receive an email confirming its selection and notifying you that Uber Credits has been credited to your account. You’ll receive Uber Credits in your Uber Eats account within 10 business days of the email. Note that your photo may appear on the restaurant’s Uber Eats store page within that timeframe. Your photos may also be featured on the restaurant’s menu or for other promotional purposes.

Why didn’t I receive Uber Credits for my photo?

The photo must meet the following criteria for a user to earn Uber Credits:

  • Be selected by Uber to be published on the merchant’s menu page

  • Be an original photo that you have taken

  • Be e of an eligible dish from an eligible store from a completed Uber Eats order

  • Follow our User-Generated Content Guidelines. Any image containing personal, sensitive, or objectionable content won’t be accepted.

  • Be clear, well-lit, and visually appealing. Please see our guidelines for tips on capturing high-quality photos.

Are there any restrictions or limitations I should be aware of?

Each user can earn a maximum of 390 GBP in Uber Credits for photos selected through the User-Submitted Photo process. Uber Credits earned through dish photo uploads expire within 30 days of receipt and can only be used on the Uber Eats app.

User-Submitted Photos versus reporting an order issue

User-Submitted Photos are photos customers can submit to be featured on a restaurant’s Uber Eats menu. If you have an order issue you’d like to report, you cannot do this via User-Submitted Photos. Instead, please navigate to Account > Help in the app, and our Support team will help resolve your issue.
