If you choose to submit your own background check documents to be reviewed, you’ll need to provide your Driver Abstract and a Criminal History Check.
- Driver Abstract: Request a recent copy of your driving record (also called a driver’s abstract) from the provincial or territorial issuing authority that granted your driver’s licence.
- Criminal History Check: Depending on your location, there are several levels of criminal history screenings. Please ensure you provide the specific document required for your city:
- Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC): Requirement for most provinces.
- Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC): A comprehensive check required for all earners in:
- Ottawa
- Windsor
- Saskatoon
- Cities in Alberta and British Columbia
- RCMP Fingerprint Check: Required only if specifically requested following an initial screening.
Some provinces require additional screening documents, see here for the detailed breakdown.
Once you have the required documents, you can take a photo of them in the app for our Support team to review.
