What is Uber One for Students?

With Uber One for Students, eligible students can access benefits such as savings on Uber and Uber Eats for 9.99 PLN a month or 99.99 PLN annually.

Uber One members receive the following benefits for rides and from merchants and stores marked with the gold Uber One icon beneath their name: * 0 PLN delivery fees * Up to 50% off on service fees * Priority member support * Uber One members receive 0 PLN Delivery Fees and up to 50% discount on Service Fees on eligilbe orders with a basket size of over 50 PLN for Restaurant orders and of over 70 PLN for Grocery orders. * 10% of the fare of economy reserve trips and 15% of the fare in premium reserve trips in Uber One credits credited to your Uber account after each ride * More likely to be paired with top-rated Delivery Partners and Drivers

Taxes and fees, if applicable, don’t apply to order minimums. Membership savings are applied as reduced Service Fees. Other fees and exclusions may apply.

Purchasing Uber One for Students

Eligible users can purchase Uber One for Students membership in the Uber app:

  1. Select Account in the lower-right corner
  2. Select Uber One and then Continue
  3. Select Student and follow the prompts to enroll

Keep in mind:

  1. You won’t be charged until you verify your student status and any free trial ends.
  2. Subscriptions renew automatically. The subscription fee is non-refundable once charged to you, but you can cancel and manage your membership at any time in the app.
  3. You must have the latest version of the app to purchase.

Accepted payment methods

You can use a debit card, credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or PayPal to purchase or renew Uber One for Students. To register or use any of the mentioned payment methods:

  • Go to the main menu of your account and select Uber One
  • Go to Manage Membership
  • In the payment details, select Change

Any Uber Cash can be used towards the recurring student subscription. On the Manage membership page, you can update payment details to turn on Uber Cash.

Verifying student eligibility

To qualify for Uber One for Students, you’ll need to provide the following information:

  • First name
  • Last name
  • Birthday (must be 18 years or older)
  • School email address
  • Organization (university)
  • Once your information is verified, your membership will begin immediately. If we’re unable to verify you, we’ll request more information.

By signing up, you acknowledge and agree that Uber will use your information to confirm your eligibility for Uber One for Students through a trusted partner and according to Uber’s Privacy Notice.

Who verifies eligibility?

We’ve partnered with SheerID to verify your eligibility for Uber One for Students.

SheerID is an identity verification platform that specializes in identity attribute verification. We’ll share your first name and last name, birthday, school email address, and organization with SheerID. If SheerID can’t automatically confirm your student status, they may ask you to share additional information, including documents such as transcripts, college class schedules, or tuition receipts to support your application.

SheerID will only use your information to verify your eligibility for Uber One for Students as instructed by Uber and will never rent or sell your information. SheerID doesn’t store documents or images uploaded to their system. Uber will also retain your day and month of birth and university name to send you personalized communications, subject to your communications preferences.

Information SheerID keeps

To help the annual renewal of Uber One for Students, SheerID will keep your information for up to 2 years, except for any documents you were asked to upload, which will be deleted within 24 hours. That way, you won’t have to re-enter your information every year to confirm you’re still eligible for Uber One for Students.

If you don’t want SheerID to keep your information, you can request its deletion.
