Navigating Uber Eats during the 2026 World Cup - FAQs

The World Cup comes to 16 cities across North and South America from June 11-July 19:

  • United States: Atlanta, Boston, Dallas, Houston, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Miami, New Jersey, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle
  • Canada: Toronto, Vancouver
  • Mexico: Mexico City, Guadalajara and Monterrey

This FAQ covers common questions about deliveries, deals, and features available during the World Cup.

Why is my order taking longer than usual?

Fan zones and viewing parties may create heavy traffic and road closures. Because of this, couriers may experience delays or need to take unexpected detours. You can track your order and contact your courier directly in the app for the latest updates.

What are Deal Drops?

Deal Drops are limited-time promotional offers available in select locations for limited time windows. Discounts may include offers like 40% off or Buy One, Get One. Here’s how they work: * Offers appear in the app once available * You’ll see a timer, which displays how much time before the offer expires * Place your order before the timer runs out. You don’t need a promo code to redeem the offer.

These promos have an inventory limit, which is why you might see badges like “Going fast” or “Almost sold out” while you’re ordering. If an offer shows as sold out, all available redemptions have already been claimed.

Why didn’t I receive a Deal Drop notification?

Notifications are only sent to eligible users in participating locations who have push notifications enabled. To receive future notifications, be sure to enable notifications for Uber Eats.

To enable marketing notifications, navigate to the Settings section of your app and select Privacy, then enable “Personalized Offers, Promos, and Marketing Content”.

What are Quests?

Quests are in-app challenges that allow you to earn discounts or Uber Cash by completing tasks. You’ll receive push notifications and in-app messages when a new Quest is available for you to join.

For each quest, you’ll be given a specific set of tasks to complete, such as taking a certain number of rides and placing a specific number of restaurant or grocery orders. See the quest terms and conditions in-app for more details.
