My friend/relative lost their phone in an Uber

Calling your driver to connect is the best way to retrieve an item you may have left in a vehicle. If your someone you know left their phone in an Uber, you should ask them to do the following:

1) Go to help.uber.com and ask them to login using their credentials.
2) Once they've logged in, select the correct trip and tap on "CONTACT DRIVER ABOUT LOST ITEM" under "I Lost an item".
3) Scroll down on this page and enter a valid phone number that you would like to be contacted at. Tap submit.

We'll call to connect the number entered directly with the driver.

If more than 24 hours have passed since your trip ended and you're still unable to connect with your driver, we'll step in to help. Please share some details below.

Drivers are independent contractors. Neither Uber nor drivers are responsible for the items left in a vehicle after a trip ends. We're here to help but cannot guarantee that a driver has your item or can immediately deliver it to you.

Save yourself from fraud: Uber NEVER asks for your bank details when returning your lost item. Please do not share your bank or card details with fraudsters claiming to have your lost item.
