Navigation menu and trip filters

Setting your destination in the app

To enter your destination: 1. Tap the magnifying glass icon at the top of your screen. 2. Type the destination address.

You will continue to receive offers as usual unless you filter trips using the Destination Filter toggle.

Filtering trips

When the Destination Filter toggle is turned on, we’ll try to match you with requests from riders going the same direction.

Note: * Using this feature may limit the number of requests you receive, especially during times of low demand. * When we match you to a trip, the pickup location may not be on the way, but the dropoff location should bring you closer to your final destination.

To filter trips: 1. Switch the Destination Filter toggle on. 2. Enter your destination in the Search for places field. 3. Your destination will show as a pin on the map. 4. If you’re offline, tap Go online & navigate to activate the filter — you’ll see Destination set at the bottom or your screen. 5. If you’re already online, tap Navigate.

Canceling your destination

To cancel a destination: 1. Tap the destination at the bottom of your screen. 2. On the next screen, tap your destination again. 3. Tap Remove Destination.

Saving your “Home” address

You’re able to save one destination address in the app that you can edit or remove at any time.

To save a destination: 1. Tap the magnifying glass at the top of your screen. 2. Next to Home, tap Add. 3. Enter an address.

To update your “Home” address at any time, tap the edit (pencil) icon.

Limits on using the Destination Filter

  • The Destination Filter is usable twice daily.
  • The limit resets at midnight local time, with unused filters not rolling over to the next day.
  • If a destination is set before midnight and extends into the following day, it only counts for the day it was set.
  • Multiple trips to one destination count as one filter.

When driver destinations are unavailable

  • Occasionally, to maintain service reliability, the Destination Filter may be temporarily disabled.
  • An in-app message will inform you when this happens: “Sorry, Destinations aren’t available right now in this area.” This isn’t an error, so please try using your Destination Filter again later.

Uber Pro drivers: extra destination for long trips

  • Uber Pro Drivers at Gold, Platinum, and Diamond levels who take long trips to low-demand areas may receive extra destination tokens.
  • This feature only triggers on qualifying trips that take you to a less busy area. If a trip is eligible, you’ll see Extra Destination at the bottom of the request screen. Then you can choose where to go after a long trip takes you to a quiet area.
  • You have until 15 minutes after the trip ends to redeem the extra destination token.
  • The extra destination doesn’t count toward your daily 2-destinations limit.

If your plans change during a trip

Once you begin a preferred destination trip, you won’t be able to change the destination or arrival time without using a preferred destination token. If your plans change, you can always remove your preferred destination.

*Note: Destination Filters are offered only to drivers and couriers (not Eats).*
