With Backup Balance, eligible drivers can spend up to $100 over a zero account balance without penalties. Payments for the overdrafts will be deducted from future deposits, including Instant Pay.
WHEN AM I ELIGIBLE?
To maintain access to Backup Balance, complete 80 trips every 30 days. You must have also completed 250 lifetime trips to be eligible.
When using Backup Balance, future deposits, including Instant Pay, will go toward your negative balance until it's paid in full.
Example: a $100 deposit on a -$25 balance would give you an account balance of $75.
Check your eligibility status in the Driver app
-Go to the notifications tab in the Uber driver app.
-Check to see if you met the trip threshold to unlock this feature
HOW DO I CHECK MY BACKUP BALANCE?
Check your current balance by logging into your Gobank account online or in the Gobank app. You can make up to $100 in purchase transactions. Until this balance is back to $0 your Instant Pay cash-outs or other deposits will refill the Backup Balance status first.
WHAT IF I NEED TO DISPUTE TRANSACTIONS?
Uber Support is unable to support questions regarding Backup balance transactions. If you would like to dispute a charge, check on the status of charge, or have other questions you will need to contact GoBank by calling (888) 272-4395.
