Passkeys are designed to replace traditional passwords and can be used to sign into your Uber account. They're an optional authentication method intended to offer a safe, secure login experience using end-to-end encryption. These benefits include:
- Easier access to your account without the need to remember or enter a password.
- Enhanced security since passkeys are protected by the authentication methods on your device such as fingerprint, face recognition, device PIN or physical keys.
- Streamlined login with the ability to sync passkeys across devices logged into the same password manager.
- Increased protection against phishing scams and unauthorised access caused by password theft.
