Paying with UPI

We support UPI as a payment method on all products except Uber Auto. Here’s how you can add UPI as a payment method:

1. Make sure you have an existing UPI ID and the latest version of the Uber app.
2. Tap on Account at the bottom right corner and open the Wallet section.
3. Tap + Add payment method under Payment methods.
4. Choose UPI or Google Pay and select ‘Enter UPI ID manually’ or select the ‘Google Pay/Phonepe’ option.
5. Enter your UPI ID and click on Save.
6. Uber will charge ₹1.00 to authenticate the payment method.
7. Now go to your UPI application and accept the charge.
8. Once accepted, click on Confirm.

If you’re unable to pay for the trip due to poor network, bank gateway timeouts, or insufficient balance, you can always pay before taking your next trip.
