Your order can be canceled by the merchant or delivery person. In the event of a cancellation, you can try ordering from the same merchant again in a few minutes or ordering from another merchant.

Why merchants may cancel orders

This can happen if they’ve run out of an item or they’re receiving a large volume of order requests.

If a merchant runs out of an item, you may receive a notification giving you 10 minutes to update your order before it’s automatically canceled.

You will not be charged if the merchant cancels your order.

Why delivery people may cancel orders

There’s a few possible reasons why this can happen:

Unable to contact you:

  • When arriving at your delivery address, delivery people are prompted to contact you. So, it’s a good idea to keep your phone nearby when the order is expected to arrive.
  • The delivery person might cancel the delivery if they can’t find or reach you.
  • If a delivery person wasn’t able to reach you but made a reasonable effort to contact you after arriving at your requested location, you may not be eligible for a refund.

The merchant was closed:

  • When the delivery person arrived at the merchant, they may have been unexpectedly closed.

The items you requested may have been out of stock so the order couldn’t be fulfilled

  • If a delivery person is unable to locate the items because it is out of stock at the merchant, then they may cancel the order.
