Switch delivery mode

At any time, you can switch your delivery mode, that is, to change the vehicle with which you deliver with Uber Eats. Currently in Belgium, there are the following delivery modes available:

  • Bicycle / Scooter class A
  • Scooter class B / Motorbike
  • Car delivery

For each of the delivery modes above, there is a list of required documents to upload and get approved. The support is there to help you update your account settings to be in the right category and be legally allowed to deliver with us.

! Before switching your delivery mode, please get familiar with the information below, as this will impact your ability to deliver (in case you’re an active delivery partner), or can defer your account activation (in case you are in the onboarding phase).

What will happen if you request the update of your account to a new delivery mode:

  • Once our support agent switches the delivery mode on your account, you will temporarily be unable to deliver until all the documents required for the new delivery mode are verified and approved. (As a result, prefer to switch it once you have all the required documents and you don’t plan to deliver in the nearest few days).
  • You can check what are the required documents for each of the delivery modes below.
  • Furthermore, if the document is shared between two modes, you won’t need to reupload it. However, it will have to go through the validation again since for some of the documents the guidelines evolve with time (e.g ID requirements allowing to live and work in a country).
  • If the document is new, you will need to upload it based on the guidelines shared. Important: all documents (including the vehicle registration certificate and insurance certificate) must be in your name.
  • You will need to add the correct vehicle on your account (please see the ‘how to’ below)
  • Your account will be activated only after all your documents have been approved.

Required documents to deliver on a bicycle or scooter class A:
