Uber Eats Lists FAQ

Guidelines for creating a List

Please see the Lists content guidelines page.

Reporting a List

Lists are meant for sharing recommendations for Uber Eats restaurants. Please follow these instructions to ensure they’re promptly addressed by the right team:

  • Order (food safety) issue: If your order didn’t follow the allergy or dietary restrictions communicated, posed a potential food safety risk, or resulted in a food-related illness or injury, please report it using the form on this page.
  • An incident with a delivery person: To report a serious incident involving a delivery person, please use the form on this page.

What is Lists?

Piloting in Chicago and New York in October 2024, Lists is a new way for Uber Eats users to discover, create, and share curated restaurant recommendations. Consumers can find food inspiration from local foodies, such as “Desserts for date night” or “Weekend brunch bites,” and they can create and share their own lists directly with friends or on social media. Please note that the Uber Eats platform is not primarily designed or intended for user content sharing.

Creating a List

Open the Uber Eats app and go to Account. Select the Lists icon to start creating. Note that only users who are signed into their Uber Eats account can create Lists.

Who can see my List?

You can set your Lists to public or private. Public Lists, which display your first name and last initial, help local consumers discover your favorite spots. Private Lists are only visible to those with the shareable link, like friends and family.

Which restaurant can I include in my List?

You can include any restaurant available on Uber Eats. It’s a great way to help new users find trusted picks and seasoned users find new spots or recommendations for special occasions.

Why isn’t my List on the Uber Eats homescreen?

Not all Lists appear on the homescreen. The carousels feature curated Lists from paid celebrities and influencers, and paid users whose content is chosen based on factors like theme, relevance, and engagement potential.

What do #UberEatsPartner and #UberEmployee mean?

You may see #UberEatsPartner or #UberEmployee on the profile page of someone who has created a List.

  • #UberEatsPartner refers to celebrities and influencers who are invited to try Lists and receive compensation in return.
  • #UberEmployee refers to users who are Uber’s staff.

Updating or deleting published lists

You can update or delete your List at any time by selecting the 3 vertical dots next to it and selecting Delete list. As new restaurants are added, your preferences might change!

Lists reflect personal opinions of users and don’t represent the views of Uber. They aren’t endorsements, and Uber doesn’t receive compensation from merchants for users’ recommendations.
