What is a defect?
A defect is something that occurs during an order that impacts the quality of the consumer’s Uber Eats experience.
What causes a defect on an Uber Eats order?
There are 4 ways that a courier can cause a defect on an Uber Eats order:
- If the order is not delivered
- If the wrong order is delivered
- If the order is more than 10 minutes late (based on the expected delivery time shown when leaving the merchant)
- If you are completing a batched order, a late delivery will NOT count as a defect.
- If the order is damaged
- If the order is damaged by the merchant and that is reported in the app, a damaged order will NOT count as a defect.
What if I cancel the trip because the wait time at the merchant is too long?
Cancellations count as a defect.
What happens if I have multiple orders in a single offer?
If you are completing a batched order, each defect-free individual delivery made will count as a defect-free delivery.
