WHAT IS UBER PET?
Uber Pet allows riders to bring a pet on their ride. If you accept an Uber Pet trip, you're allowing the rider to bring a pet into the vehicle.
NOTE: Riders with assistance animals are not required to use Uber Pet. Per Uber's ANZ Assistance Animal Policy (linked below), driver-partners have a legal obligation to provide service to riders with assistance animals, regardless of ride type. Driver-partners that opt-out of Uber Pet are therefore still required required to provide rides to riders with assistance animals via other options in the Uber App.

HOW DO UBER PET TRIPS WORK?
Uber Pet trips work similarly to UberX rides. The main difference is the presence of an animal. You'll earn an extra Uber Pet fee for accepting Uber Pet trips.

HOW MANY PETS CAN A RIDER BRING?
A rider is allowed to bring one pet on an Uber Pet trip.

WHAT KIND OF PETS ARE RIDERS ALLOWED TO BRING?
Riders are allowed to bring one animal such as a dog or a cat. Any other type of animal is up to the driver's discretion.

WHAT IF I'M ALLERGIC TO, HAVE RELIGIOUS OBJECTIONS TO, OR AM AFRAID OF A PET?
If you're allergic, have religious objection to, and/or are afraid of certain animals, it's best to opt out of Uber Pet trips. However, please remember that per Uber's ANZ Assistance Animal Policy, a driver-partner cannot lawfully deny service to riders with assistance animals because of allergies, religious objections, or a generalized fear of animals.

CAN I REFUSE A TRIP BASED ON THE PET TYPE?
You have the option to cancel any ride you don't feel comfortable with.

HOW DO I OPT-OUT OF UBER PET?
You can opt out of accepting Uber Pet trips by following the steps below:
1. Tap the menu icon to find the 'Trip Planner' section of the app
2. On the bottom right corner, tap the preferences icon
3. Tap the Uber Pet icon to toggle off/on the trip type:
- ON = you'll receive Uber Pet trip requests
- OFF = you won't receive Uber Pet trip requests
4. Tap 'SAVE'
