Your order can be canceled by the merchant or delivery person due to the following reasons.
This can happen when merchants are having trouble with preparing your order, such as they’ve run out of an item or they’re receiving a large volume of order requests. If a merchant runs out of an item, you may get a notification giving you 10 minutes to update your order before it’s automatically canceled.
The delivery person will contact and wait for you when they can’t find or reach you. They will cancel your order if they can’t receive a response from you for a certain time. Please make sure you can check notifications from the Uber Eats app when your order is in progress.
In addition, your order may be cancelled if it’s difficult to complete it because of traffic congestion.
You won’t be charged if the merchant or delivery person cancels your order. You will be charged if you have reason for cancellation such as you were not at the delivery address.
