With Menu Maker, the menu editing tool found within your Uber Eats Manager account, you can give customers more options through customizing your menu.

Here are some examples of the customizations available within Menu Maker:

EXAMPLE: Allow customers to choose 3 toppings if they choose a regular sized Poke Bowl, and 4 if they choose a large Poke Bowl.

  1. Create a new menu item, “Poke Bowl.”
  2. Create a new customization group for “Size” that has a “Regular” size option and a “Large” size option.
  3. Create a new customization group, “Poke toppings” that has all the poke toppings available to the customer.
  4. When creating the “Poke toppings” customization group, select the “See Advanced Settings” link.
  5. Open the “Adjust quantity based on another customization group” option and select the “Size” customization.
  6. Select the Large size and set the fields so that a customer must choose “Exactly” 4 customizations.
  7. Select the Regular size and set the fields so that a customer must choose “Exactly” 3 customizations.

EXAMPLE: Charge more for toppings if a customer chooses a large size item and less if they choose a small size item.

  1. Create a new menu item, “Pizza.”
  2. Create a new customization group for “Size” that has a “Small” size option and a “Large” size option.
  3. Create a new customization group, “Pizza toppings” that has all the pizza toppings available to the customer.
  4. When creating the “Pizza toppings” customization options, select the “Change Price By Customization” link.
  5. Select the “Adjust price based on another customization group” option and select the “Size” customization.
  6. When entering your customization options, you will be able to set different customization prices for toppings associated with a large pizza than for toppings associated with a small pizza.

EXAMPLE: A customer chooses a combo meal and has a choice between a side salad or a side of french fries. If a customer chooses a side salad, show them a choice of salad dressing. If a customer chooses a side of fries, show them a choice of dipping sauces.

  1. Create a new menu item, “Combo meal.”
  2. Create a new customization group for “Combo meal side dish” with the customization options of “French fries” and “Salad.”
  3. Create a new customization group, “Salad dressings” that has all the salad dressing options available to the customer if they choose salad.
  4. Create a new customization group, “Dipping sauces” that has all the dipping sauce options available to the customers if they choose french fries.
  5. Go back into your “Combo meal side dish” customization group and scroll down to the Customizations section.
  6. Select the three dots next to the price display of the “French fries” customization option and select “Add customization group”. Choose “Dipping sauces” and select “Save.”
  7. Select the three dots next to the price display of the “Salad” customization option and select “Add customization group”. Choose “Salad dressings” and select “Save.”

NOTE: You can offer up to two conditional customizations per item. In the example above, the customer’s choice of side dish is considered their first customization. If that customer selects a side salad, you can give them a choice of dressing as their second customization.

EXAMPLE: Let customers choose how many of each type of bagel they want in their baker’s dozen.

  1. Create a new menu item, “Baker’s Dozen Bagels.”
  2. Create a new customization group, “Choice of bagel.”
  3. Set it so that customers are required to choose customizations.
  4. Set it so that customers must choose exactly 12 customizations.
  5. Set it so that customers can choose up to 12 of one customization.
  6. Enter in your customization options, for example: Plain bagel, Multigrain bagel, Onion bagel, etc.
  7. Select “Save.”

EXAMPLE: Offer pancakes from 7-11am only as a breakfast-only special.

  1. Select the item name.
  2. Scroll down and select “Set custom hours.”
  3. Click on the hours in green to edit custom hours.
  4. Select “Save.”

NOTE: You can assign different hours for different days of the week and sell an item on certain days of the year. To sell an item on certain days of the year, check the box “Serve this item only on certain days of the year.”
