  • Immediate action: Leave the area quickly and find a safe place.
  • Get help: If needed, call the police. Contact Uber Support through the app for non-emergency assistance.

Broken Containers

  • During delivery: If items break en route to the customer:

  • In the app: End the trip as ‘Item Damaged.’

  • Next steps: Contact the store or restaurant about the breakage and return the order.

  • Charges: You won’t be held responsible for the damage.

  • Payment: You get paid for the full trip, including the return.

  • At drop-off: If items are found broken upon arrival:

  • To the customer: Let them know they won’t be charged and can reorder.

Store Closures on Return Trips

  • Avoidance: Alcohol and tobacco orders stop one hour before a store closes.
  • If closed on arrival: Use the Driver app to contact support for guidance.

Order Limits

Alternate Recipients

  • Policy: Confirm the identity of the intended recipient listed in the app using a government-issued ID.
