WHAT IS UberX Saver
UberX Saver is a new product that offers riders a lower fare during the quieter hours of the day.
We know that the best for you is to keep moving and that earnings is a very important thing. That’s why we are introducing UberX Saver, a new product aimed at giving you more opportunities to keep earning, even in those low demand hours.
WHAT ARE THE PRICES on UberX Saver
The base fare, time and distance are calculated the same as UberX, but it’s at a lower price. This is to incentivize riders to request trips and increase the demand during the calmer hours of the day.
Please be advised that the surcharge for longer trips remains as for UberX service.
HOW TO ACTIVATE UberX Saver
To receive UberX Saver trip requests you need to:
access the DRIVING PREFERENCES section in your driver app
touch the circle situated on the top of the service (if the background is dark, the service is active)
confirm the changes by touching the SAVE button.
You can also go to the ACCOUNT section of the app and then to WORK HUB from where you can turn on the option.
If you currently opt in UberX, you will be able to accept both UberX Saver and UberX at the same time.
HOW TO DEACTIVATE UberX Saver
If you do not want to receive UberX Saver requests you can turn this feature off through the following steps:
access the DRIVING PREFERENCES section in your driver app
touch the circle situated on the top of the service (if the background is bright, the service is not active)
confirm the changes by touching the SAVE button.
CANCELLATION RATE, ACCEPTANCE RATE AND UBER PRO STATUS
All cancelled trips are affecting the driver cancellation rate, including UberX Saver trips.
However, the UberX Saver trip requests will not impact the acceptance rate and the Uber Pro level.
SERVICE FEE
The Uber fee supports the system you use to receive trip requests. Specifically, the fee supports Uber’s ability to make continuous improvements to the Uber Partner App, partners.uber.com, and introduce new features which make the service more efficient and effective.
This applies across all vehicle options, including UberX Saver.
