Navigation Menu

When you set a destination in your app, we’ll direct you using our in-app navigation. Simply tap on the magnifying glass at the top of your screen and enter your destination address. You will still receive Individual offers normally unless you choose to filter trips using the “Destination Filter” toggle.

Filtering Trips

Use the “Destination Filter” toggle to turn on filtering.

When this toggle is turned on, we’ll try and match you with trip requests from riders going towards your final destination.

Note that using this feature may limit the number of Individual requests you receive, especially during times of low demand, since you’ll only be matched with trips headed towards your final destination.

When we match you to a trip, the route to the pick-up location may not be going towards your destination, but the drop-off location should bring you closer to your final destination.

To turn on filtering, follow the below steps:

  1. Turn the “Destination Filter” toggle on.
  2. Enter your destination address in the “Search for places” field.
  3. Your destination will appear as a pin on the map.
  4. If you are offline, tap “Go online & navigate”. You’ll automatically go online and see “Destination set” at the bottom of your screen. If you are already online, tap “Navigate”.

Cancel a Destination

  1. Tap the destination at the bottom of your screen.
  2. On the next screen, tap the icon bar next to your destination.
  3. Tap “Remove Destination.”

Save a Home Destination Address

  1. Tap the magnifying glass at the top of your screen.
  2. Next to “Home” tap the edit icon.
  3. Enter an address.
  4. You can edit your “Home” address at anytime by tapping the edit icon.

How Often Can You Use the Destination Filters

You can use the “Destination Filter” toggle to set a maximum of two destinations every day. Your daily count will refresh at midnight local time and do not carry over. However, Destinations set before midnight that continue through the next day will only count for the original day.

If you complete multiple trips on the way to your destination, it still only counts as one Destination use.

Driver Destinations Unavailable During Select Times

To ensure the reliability of our service, Destination Filters may temporarily become unavailable. The following notification will appear in-app notifying you of the temporary hold placed on Driver Destinations: “Sorry, Destinations aren’t available right now in this area. Destinations can sometimes disrupt the reliability of the service for drivers and riders. Please try again.” This is not an error message. If this happens, check back and try using your Destination Filters at a later time.

Uber Pro: Extra Destination on Select Trips

Gold, Platinum and Diamond Uber Pro Drivers who take long trips to areas where there are low trip requests may receive an Extra Destination at the bottom of the request screen. When the trip ends, Drivers will be able to set one Extra Destination to any location. This Extra Destination must be redeemed within a limited time after the trip ends. Extra Destination works the same as Destination Filter, but doesn’t count towards your daily total.

Destination Filters are not available to EATS only drivers and couriers
