Upfront Pricing uses real-time data to calculate the distance and duration of your trip, traffic and road closures, plus factors like how many riders are requesting nearby or live demand at the destination. Our smart pricing technology helps ensure Drivers get an accurate estimated payment and the best available route that will help you decide if you would like to confirm or reject a trip request.
Few things to note:
If the upfront price has been honored, we are unable to adjust the fare if it has been calculated correctly.
If there is only a small change to the expected trip outcome, we are unable to make any fare adjustments. This is because minor deviations are already factored into the offer card price you receive.
We have introduced a new support policy for those who are contacting support to request a fare more than needed.
We also believe that support adjustments undermine the purpose of having Upfront Pricing. Upfront Pricing is there to provide clear, simple and more transparent pricing that both Drivers and Riders agree to before the trip takes place. It is a tried and tested pricing system used in the majority of cities around the world.
We can only review fares within 10 days of a trip.
Please note that the upfront price/mid-trip price shown on your offer card does not include estimated tolls, surcharges and other fees, tips from the rider or wait time fees, which will be added to your earnings as usual and then shown in your payment statement.
If you experience significant unexpected delays or diversions on the trip then the final fare will automatically change to reflect the actual route. You can read more below:
