How do Premium Hourly trips work?

Premium Hourly is a new trip type that allows you to book a trip for at least one hour, rather than to a specific destination. Instead of having to request individual one-way trips, you can now make multiple stops within a trip.

At the time of booking, you choose the number of hours you want. E.g. 3 hour package. Each hourly package has a distance upper limit. E.g. 3 hour package with 69 km included.

If the time/distance runs out when en route, the driver is encouraged to continue the trip and be paid extra by the minute/mile. If they choose to cancel, they will be paid in full plus any extra overages incurred.

**HOW DO I REQUEST A PREMIUM HOURLY TRIP? **

To request a Premium Hourly Trip: * Choose Hourly Trip as your ride. * Choose how many hours you want to reserve the trip for. * Choose the vehicle option that you want. * Confirm Hourly Trip. The upfront price shown will be the minimum for the time you reserved which you will charge even if your trip is less than this time or distance (any additional time or distance will be charged a separate rate after that). * As the trip goes on, you’ll need to update each stop in the app, including your final stop.

**WHAT ABOUT DIFFERENT DESTINATIONS? **

  • In Hourly trips, there is no limit to the number of destinations, and you can add/remove/update stops at any time during the trip.
  • However, the first stop is mandatory to add by you at the time of booking. After that, it is up to you to add stops as it makes sense for their trip. To optimize the trip time, please add your stops in advance.
  • Uber will remind you in case you have not entered the next stop information. The driver will not start navigation unless the next stop information has been added.
  • You can choose to be at a stop for as long as you want, but if the time runs out at a stop, you will be charged additionally for the extra time. Additionally, the driver can also choose to end the reservation at this time as they may have other commitments.
