How to redeem gift card?

• Using the latest Uber app for iPhone or Android, please use the following steps to add your gift card:
• Tap the ☰ menu icon on the top left corner
• Select Wallet Tap Add Payment Method
• Tap Gift Card
• Enter your gift card code as it appears (no spaces).

I’m having issues redeeming a gift card code

• When you receive the message “Gift card already redeemed”, this means a gift card has already been redeemed.
• As a first step, we recommend checking with friends or family who may have had access to the card.

Do I need to have an account to redeem it?

• Yes. You will need to have an Uber account to redeem the gift card.

Is the gift card balance transferable?

• No. Once you redeem the gift card, the balance cannot be transferred to another account.

Do Uber gift cards expire?

• Uber gift cards don’t expire.
• A valid payment method such as a credit card is required at all times in order for the gift card balance to work.

Does the gift card balance roll over if I don’t spend it all at once?

• If your balance isn’t completely used up from a trip fare or Uber Eats order, the remaining balance can be applied to your next purchase.

Do I need an alternative payment method to use my gift card?

• Yes. A valid payment method such as a credit card is required at all times in order for the gift card balance to work.

Can I use my gift card overseas?

• You can only use gift cards in the country that they were purchased in.

What happens if I lose my gift card or it gets stolen?

• Uber gift cards cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.
• Make sure you add it to your account as soon as you get it to avoid this from happening.

Can I use my gift card to pay for arrears?

• No. Gift cards cannot be used to settle arrears.
• You will need to settle the outstanding balance by visiting uber.com/arrears and select the payment method of your choice.
