Starting August 3, 2026, “Uber Tours” will launch, offering tours that provide a reserved vehicle for a set period to visit specific sightseeing spots. This page provides an overview of the service, pricing, booking mechanism, and cancellation and change policies.
Tours are provided at a fixed package price, so there are no fluctuations like peak pricing. * Included in the price: Utilization fee for the chartered vehicle, tolls, and expressway fees. * Not included in the price: Entrance fees to sightseeing facilities, personal shopping, driver’s admission fee (if accompaniment is requested), and lunch costs (these are to be arranged and borne by the customer).
Extension of tour time is not possible.
If you wish to change the schedule, please cancel from the app before the start of the tour and make a new reservation. In that case, the prescribed cancellation fee will be applied.
During busy seasons such as Obon and the year-end and New Year holidays, delays may occur in the scheduled itinerary and stay duration due to traffic conditions.
However, the route may be changed at the driver’s discretion according to operational safety and road conditions.
Route changes can only be accommodated within certain limits and may not always be possible due to operating conditions, safety considerations, or other factors.
Regarding schedules and destinations: The departure/arrival times and stay durations listed in the itinerary are estimates. The order of the itinerary and arrival times may change due to road conditions or congestion at destinations.
Alternatives during service suspensions/congestion: If sightseeing ships at Lake Ashi or the Mt. Komagatake Ropeway are suspended due to bad weather, etc., or if stopping is not possible due to road conditions or congestion at tourist spots, we will guide you to one of the following alternative facilities. Note that we cannot cancel or refund the tour for these reasons.

Once the tour has started, it cannot be canceled.
If there is no contact after 15 minutes have passed from the reservation time at the meeting place, it will be treated as a “no-show”.
In the event that the tour is canceled due to bad weather or natural disasters (force majeure), or canceled due to circumstances on the Uber / driver side, Uber will provide a full refund.
Uber Tours provides the platform, and the actual operation is carried out by taxi operators (corporate taxis, hire operators, etc.). * Contract Structure: When you book a tour, a package tour contract is formed between you (the passenger) and Uber. The actual transportation service is provided by the assigned taxi operator (and its driver), rather than by Uber. * Payment Mechanism: The tour fee you pay through the Uber app constitutes the tour price under the package tour contract.

It is a service that packages traditional “transportation” and “tour plans”. You can visit pre-set sightseeing routes with a chartered premium vehicle. Everything from booking the tour to contacting the driver and payment is completed within the Uber app. This service is for advance reservations only, and on-demand dispatch is not eligible.
As of July 2026, it is provided within the 23 wards of Tokyo. The eligible vehicle is a “Large Wagon Premium” which can carry up to 5 people.
Currently, support is available in English and Japanese. We will consider future expansion based on demand.
