Uber Eats now offers merchants with their own delivery staff the ability to customize the delivery fees for multiple delivery zones.
This feature enables merchants to control and increase order volumes by customizing the delivery fee based on the distance of the delivery.
How can I customize the delivery fee and minimum order?
First, log into Uber Eats Manager and navigate to “Settings”.
Once on the “Settings” tab, select “Delivery” to see current delivery area, associated delivery fee, and fulfillment time. You can modify the current delivery zone, minimum order amount and delivery fee.
You have 3 area options for creating additional delivery zones by clicking “Add another range”. From the dropdown, select:
Radial Area Type
- In case radial zone is already set up, you can click on the edit icon and click on “Add Another Range” to create more radial zones.
- You can also set delivery fees, minimum order and fulfillment time for each zone by clicking “Add another range” from the dropdown you select.
- NOTE: You have the ability to create up to 5 additional radial delivery zones.
- Maximum 20 mile/ 32 km radius from the restaurant location.
Custom Area Type
- Click “Create Area” to create additional custom delivery zones, delivery fees, and fulfillment times for longer distances.
- NOTE: You have the ability to create up to 7 additional custom delivery zones.
- Maximum 25 square miles / 40 km square per custom delivery zone.
Postcode type
- Click “Create Area” to create additional Postcode delivery zones, minimum order, delivery fees, and fulfillment times for different postcode based zones.
- NOTE: You have the ability to create up to 7 Postal code based zones.
- Maximum 25 square miles / 40 km square per custom delivery zone.
Example: Delivery Zone 1 = 1-2 miles, $5; Delivery Zone 2 = 2-3 miles, $8; Delivery Zone 3 = 94611, minimum order $30, fee $8, etc.
Once you have created the necessary delivery zones, click “Finished” then click “Save” to update what customers see when ordering from your store.

My delivery zone is too large and the delivery zone cannot be saved?
- The maximum size for one custom/postal code delivery zone is 25 sq miles/40 sq km. Simply reduce your delivery zone’s size and create another one.
How many postal codes can I add to my delivery zone?
- You can add as many postal codes as you would like. There is only a limit on the maximum size of the zone. The maximum size for one custom/postal code delivery zone is 25 sq miles/40 sq km.
Can I create several different delivery zones using postal code, radius and free shape at the same time?
- Yes, you can create up to 7 custom or postal code areas and 1 radial area at the same time.
You can use up to 5 radial zones without any custom or postal code area.
